Emotional Freedom Technique

EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique a very flexible improvement tool or a universal healing aid designed to remove the effects of negative emotions from the body, and promote improved physical and emotional health. It can be used for just about everything.

You will learn this technique (very easy) and be encouraged to use it in between sessions and  report on your progress. Anything that is too difficult to do on your own will be done together

Art Therapy

Art Therapy combines the creative process and psychotherapy, facilitating self-exploration and understanding. Using imagery, colour, and shape as part of this creative therapeutic process, thoughts and feelings may be expressed that would otherwise be difficult to articulate. It may help to determine, delineate, and sort through obstacles that you may not have been fully consciously aware of. It also provides a forum through which you can interact with those obstacles and make changes on a symbolic level through the pictures you create spontaneously. Because the natural language of the unconscious mind is symbolic, it is a natural process for it to implement those changes within you in such a way that they begin to manifest themselves in surprising, interesting and pleasant ways in your outer life.

Your art work can also provide a focus for discussion in psychotherapy, not for the therapist to interpret your pictures, but for you, with the therapist’s guidance to find the meaning within you that created the picture in the first place. In addition, some people like to use drawing or painting while talking with the therapist to relax and relieve some of the tension you might experience while talking about difficult or intimate aspects of yourself and your life. Simple art materials are provided for you to use in any way that suits you. Absolutely no training, experience or talent is needed. There are no right or wrong ways to do things; no expectations to meet, not even your own. Just let go and play with the materials. The use of art therapy in the psychotherapeutic context, can work seamlessly together with NLP, hypnosis and hypnotherapy, and Emotional Freedom Techniques or EFT. They are all different but related ways of working with your conscious and unconscious minds in collaboration to guide you through the process of making the changes you want to make, and achieving your outcomes.

Neurolinguistic Programming

NLP explores the relationship between how we think (neuro), how we communicate both verbally and non-verbally (linguistic) and our patterns of behavior (programs).

What NLP founders (John Grinder and Richard Bandler) did was to study how three of the best therapists they knew of thought, behaved and communicated, and from that study, created models of how we can all learn to do these things as well as they did. The 3 people John and Richard studied were 3 very different therapists who were getting outstanding results. They were, Virginia Satir, an amazingly effective family therapist, Fritz Perls, the founder of Gestalt Therapy, and Milton Erickson, a psychiatrist, who got amazing results with hypnotherapy. NLP developed out of the patterns that were seen in each of these three, or more specifically, the intersection of these three patterns.

While NLP did start out in the field of therapy, the principles and techniques developed out of it are applicable and useful in many different fields, such as business, sales and marketing; education, teaching and learning; sports and other skills performance improvement. NLP techniques can help you to improve and achieve excellence in any field of endeavor.

NLP is not about proving the truth or reality of theories, but is only concerned with what actually works, what gets you the results you want. So it is important first of all, to be precise about the result you want. With NLP principles, Nancy can help you to formulate your outcomes and clear the way to achieving them. NLP offers a technology for creating change and simple ways to give you more choice about your behavior and emotions, to enhance your communication and relationships, and to develop new abilities in your thinking.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is hypnosis applied for therapeutic purposes, used in the course of psychotherapy. Hypnosis can be a powerful aid in psychotherapy, providing effective positive support for examining and changing detrimental patterns in your life. The hypnotic state can be used to introduce beneficial suggestions to increase self esteem, confidence, creativity and an openness to change, or to draw on resources you didn't even know you had. These can establish a positive basis for the process of psychotherapy. In addition, therapeutic techniques introduced during hypnosis, can be very powerful in accessing all of your inner resources to heal trauma, fears or depression, and to elicit the change you desire. Hypnosis is a powerful tool that can be used in the psychotherapeutic process to work through issues that cause difficulty in your life. It is a tool that can speed up change.
